Community marketplace for last-minute, affordable tickets
A mobile marketplace for Broadway enthusiasts to trade second-hand tickets and discover shows
As the product designer, I created intuitive user experiences and interfaces that address key user needs — from customizable listing notifications to seamless ticket transfers.
Collaborating with cross-functional partners in a close feedback loop, I ensured every feature was visually cohesive, highly functional, and aligned with our business goals at each stage.
Iterative, rarely linear — shaped by user feedback, data, and shifting priorities
While every project was different, I generally followed this framework, shown here through the price suggestion feature:
1. Define the problem
I start by meeting with the founder to understand the user problem or business opportunity, and align on goals and constraints before jumping into solutions. For price suggestion, we identified that sellers struggled to price tickets competitively without manually researching comparable listings.
2. Research & analyze
I study how other products successfully address similar challenges — looking for patterns, best practices, and opportunities to differentiate. I analyzed dynamic pricing assistance UI in apps like Depop and XianYu to understand how they surface pricing guidance without overwhelming users.
3. Prototype, test, and iterate
I create prototypes — from quick wireframes to polished designs depending on complexity — conduct usability tests, gather stakeholder feedback, and iterate, often over multiple rounds. The price suggestion UI went through many iterations before we felt confident handing it off.
4. Ship, refine, and repeat
I clean up and annotate files before handing off to our engineer. After shipping, I work with the CX team and founder to gather feedback and performance data, and repeat the process on anything that isn't working.
Foundational systems and individual features, often in the same week
As Theatr's sole designer, my work spanned everything from design systems to feature-level detail — user interviews, component libraries, and shipped features across iOS and web.
